GeoWEPP for ArcGIS 10.x is currently under development and self-funded.
GeoWEPP ArcGIS 9.x and the related on-line training material were funded by a grant of the U.S. Department of the Interior – Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Science & Technology Center, Denver, Colorado.
GeoWEPP ArcGIS 9.2 and the customized GeoWEPP-BAER version was funded through two grants of the Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) – a partnership of six Federal wildland and fire and research organizations – and was mainly a collaboration with U.S. Department of Agriculture – Forest Service (USDA-FS) Rocky Mountain Research Station – Moscow Forestry Sciences Laboratory, Moscow, Idaho.
GeoWEPP ArcView ArcX was funded through a post-doctoral research sponsored by the the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS), National Soil Erosion Research Laboratory (USDA-NSERL), West Lafayette, Indiana and a grant of the U.S. Department of Agriculture – CSREES, Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. The project was endorsed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), Midwest Partnership for Watershed Management Decision Support Systems, Region 5, Chicago, Illinois
The original GeoWEPP project resulted out of an international interdisciplinary project initially supported by Bernd Diekkrueger (Geographical Institutes, University of Bonn – Bonn, Germany), Jonathan Harbor (Dept. of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Purdue University – West Lafayette, Indiana) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD – Bonn, Germany).
